Tradespeople have a huge impact on the health of our planet. Incorporating environmentalism into everyday work is a smart financial choice that gives your life greater purpose.
We challenge PCTI School of Construction Technology and School of Culinary Arts seniors who've been nominated by their teachers to research climate friendly techniques and technologies being used today, or to dream up innovations yet to be, and submit a short essay on what they've learned.
We hope to:
Inspire students to embrace the triple win of becoming a "working environmentalist." 1: Increase lifetime earning potential; 2: Create a life of purpose; 3: Reduce pollution in our communities and world.
Honor senior graduates and encourage them to be proud of their chosen profession in the trades.
Pay $1,500 grants for tools of their trade or other practical items.
